Van Os Medical’s greatest source of pride was the introduction of the market’s first modern and inclusive lightweight manual wheelchair the G-Lite Pro. Move forward 10 years and we arrive at the latest incarnation in the series: The G-Explorer. With the addition of pneumatic mountain bike tyres comes the potential for a wider range of terrains you can negotiate. That coupled with the textured paint finish gives the chair rugged, outdoor look.

The G-Explorer is designed so it can be easily folded and disassembled for transportation, meaning it can fit into the boot of almost any car, into narrow train passage ways and even on plane journeys. A quick release mechanism engaged by pulling up the seat upholstery folds the chair up in one easy motion.

The side frame has been given a new 4 degree seat angle, providing extra comfort and an ergonomic posture. The backrest angle of the G-Explorer has been adjusted slightly to give the user a more natural seating position providing superb lumbar support. VanOs have also added height adjustable push handles to make the attendants experience more comfortable too.
